Reliant Systems, Inc. is seeking a CNC Vertical Mill Set Up Machinist to prepare Vertical Mills from an unfurnished state and to run production parts. The role emphasizes precise tolerancing on critical features, as detailed in drawings.

Candidates should be proficient in reading prints, loading tooling and programs, and validating machine readiness and specifications. Key functions include measuring with calipers and micrometers, adjusting offsets, problem solving when programs underperform,

Qualifications

• Ability to load and run programs on a coordinate measuring machine.
• Fluent print reading with tolerancing and material specifications.
• Fluent in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with MS Office including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up Vertical Mills from unfurnished state and run production parts.
• Load tooling and programs; verify machine is ready to produce.
• Prepare area, stage material, and validate requirements before first part.
• Load and remove material in CNC machine.
• Use measuring instruments to check parts off the machine.
• Identify parts deviating from specs and adjust offsets as needed.
• Run multiple machines when necessary; maintain communication with supervisor.
