Reliant Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Surface Grinder Set Up Machinist in Minnesota. You will set up horizontal mills and run production parts with tight tolerances, reading prints, loading tooling, and verifying readiness for production.

You will measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, identify deviations, and adjust offsets as needed. Strong GD&T and print reading skills are essential in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related discipline strongly preferred.
• Fluent print reading with tolerancing and material specifications.
• Fluent in GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Experience with manual measuring instruments including digital or dial calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Experience with gauge pins and blocks, height stands, and thread gauges.
• Experience with MS Office including Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Read prints and setup sheets to prepare tooling for set up and run parts.
• Load tooling and programs, then verify the machine is ready to produce.
• Prepare area and stage material, then validate all requirements prior to running the initial part.
• Load and remove material in CNC machine.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and indicators to check parts off the machine.
• Identify parts that deviate from standard specifications and adjust as needed.
• Run multiple machines when necessary and adjust offsets.
• Problem solve when programs are not producing desired results.
• Maintain cleanliness and communicate progress with supervisor.
