Job summary

ARCH Minneapolis is seeking a CNC Set Up Vertical Mill Machinist for the day shift to produce machined parts by setting up, programming, and operating a vertical mill CNC while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include setting up parts, tool changes, inspection, documentation, and the ability to run more than one machine. ITAR compliance applies; a strong math and detail orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status (citizen, green card holder, asylee or refugee).
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T tolerancing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts in CNC machines without assistance.
• Change tools and adjust heights to maintain quality output.
• Inspect parts during machining to ensure specifications.
• Follow job work order instructions and document shop activities.
• Operate multiple machines when cycle time allows.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and report repairs.
