Job summary

Morris Group, Inc., including Morris South, seeks a Field Service Technician to install, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls at customer sites across the southeast. The role emphasizes independence, high-quality service, and customer satisfaction.

You will diagnose issues using manuals and vendor resources, document statuses, and provide preventative maintenance and after-sales support and training.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience with CNC machine repair.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including travel and driving across a regional territory.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Use manuals, technical documents, and vendor resources to diagnose issues.
• Document status of machine issues, repairs and installation with office and customers.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool lines represented by the company.
