Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, integrate, and maintain CNC systems and automated hardware at client sites. You will diagnose complex machinery on-site and interact directly with customers, traveling 40–50% of the time to support deployments and ongoing projects.

Based at home base, collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and service teams to prepare equipment, resolve technical hurdles, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machinery experience including installation, service, or commissioning.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Solid understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic system operations.
• Knowledge of standard electrical components and circuitry.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in customer environments and collaborate with internal teams.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–50%, generally for no more than one week at a time.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end installation and commissioning of CNC and automated systems at client sites.
• Perform mechanical assembly, leveling, alignment, and final calibration of equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
• Support startup, testing, and final client acceptance phases of new equipment.
• Consult manuals, schematics, and blueprints to guide work.
• Ensure hydraulic and pneumatic connections are properly integrated.
• Identify and rectify faults in coordination with engineering staff.
• Conduct routine maintenance and necessary repairs.
• Analyze machine performance to guide corrective actions.
• Maintain client relationships and provide on-site training after installation.
• Keep accurate records of service visits and milestones.
• Promote a positive, client-centric on-site image.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
