Job summary

Nbutexas is seeking a hands-on CNC Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair CNC machine tools for customers across the region.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and automation issues, install and commission equipment, replace components, and travel up to 75% to sites within the local tri-state area.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of CNC machine-tool experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Experience reading ladder diagrams and working with CNC control diagnostics.
• Understanding of machining principles and geometry.
• Swiss CNC experience is a plus.
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• Ability to travel up to 75%, primarily within the local tri-state area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines at customer locations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and automation issues.
• Install and commission CNC equipment.
• Replace ball screws, motors, cartridge spindles and other components.
• Use ladder logic and control diagnostics to identify problems.
• Repair spindle bearings and align tooling.
• Interface and align bar-feed units.
• Perform first-part runoffs and verify machine functionality.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support to customers by phone.
• Travel throughout the local region to support customers.
