Job summary

NBUTEXAS is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Mentor, OH to install, service, and troubleshoot CNC machines in an OEM environment. The role requires travel up to 75% within the tri-state area and offers opportunities for additional travel.

Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, repair of CNC systems, component replacements, ladder logic diagnostics, and customer support. A strong background in electronics, mechanics, and automation is essential, along with excellent communication

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• 3-5+ years CNC tooling experience.
• 1-3+ years Swiss machining preferred.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and automation skills.
• Ability to read ladder diagrams and control diagnostics.
• Professional interaction with customers in person and over the phone.
• Proficiency in geometry and machining principles.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines.
• Replace components such as ball screws, motors, and cartridge spindles.
• Use ladder logic and diagnostics across control systems.
• Provide phone-based technical support for troubleshooting daily.
• Align and adjust tooling.
• Repair spindle bearings.
• Interface bar feed units and align components.
• Perform first-part runoffs to verify machine acceptance.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
