Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a CNC Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC machine tools at customer facilities nationwide. The role emphasizes strong electrical and mechanical repair skills, diagnostic abilities, and a customer-first mindset.

Travel is extensive, with preference for candidates near airports and in IL, TN, KY, AL, OH, or areas east of the Mississippi. You will provide on-site and remote support, train customers, and coordinate project activities while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machine tool maintenance and service (electrical and mechanical).
• 5+ years of remote technical support within the machine tool industry.

Responsibilities

• Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options and accessories.
• Perform machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments for peak performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions including repair or replacement.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other channels.
• Support customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance and problem resolution.
• Provide customer training and assist with project coordination as needed.
• Travel extensively (100%) including overnights and weekends.
