Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our manufacturing and technical services team. The ideal candidate will perform maintenance, repair, and installation of CNC machine tools on-site or by phone, and will document service activities and train customers’ staff as needed.

You will read mechanical drawings and PLC diagrams, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and maintain excellent client relations with proactive communication to ensure service quality and uptime.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
• Experience with DMG MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a customer-service orientation.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
• High school diploma, GED, or technical associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with maintenance, repair, and installation assistance of CNC machine tools on location or by telephone.
• Create and update documentation of technical information and generate reports related to service activities.
• Assist and train Customer’s Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.
• Establish and maintain exemplary communication and customer service relationships with clients.
• Manage challenging customer situations positively, respond promptly to needs, and solicit feedback to improve service quality.
