Job summary

Shively Diversified Management Services is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools to support customer sites across the USA. The role involves installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting of Fanuc/Siemens CNC systems as well as hydraulic and electrical subsystems.

You will travel regionally to install and service machines, train operators, and document service actions.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC field service experience
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar CNC controls
Ability to read electrical schematics and machine diagnostics
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred

Responsibilities

Install and commission CNC machine tools at customer sites
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and CNC control systems
Diagnose issues involving Fanuc, Siemens, servo drives, spindles, PLCs, and related components
Train operators and maintenance personnel on machine operation and best practices
Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues
