Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG seeks a CNC Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC machine tools at customer sites nationwide. The role requires extensive travel and field work with a focus on maximizing machine performance and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in CNC maintenance and strong PLC/FANUC experience, with proven ability to work independently and coordinate with customers and internal teams. Travel is extensive, including overnights.

Qualifications

5+ years in CNC machine tool maintenance and service (electrical and mechanical).
5+ years providing remote technical support in machine tool industry.
Experience installing/servicing machining centers including leveling and alignment.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Experience with CNC control systems, including FANUC controls.

Responsibilities

Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options and accessories.
Perform machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
Provide on-site and remote technical support via multiple channels.
