Job summary
JTEKT MACHINERY AMERICAS CORPORATION is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install CNC machine tool systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-site and remote support to customers and distributors. You will manage projects and deliver training, with a focus on ensuring reliable machine performance.
The role requires a bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field and 5+ years of machine tool maintenance, remote support, and installation experience, including CNC
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ machine tool maintenance/technology experience (electrical and mechanical).
- 5+ years’ remote technical support in the machine tool industry.
- 5+ years’ installation/maintenance of machining centers, including CNC geometry checks and adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Install CNC machine tool systems and all accessories at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and identify causes of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or application issues.
- Coordinate resolutions and suggest repairs or replacements for CNC tools.
- Provide on-site and remote support to customers, distributors, and colleagues.
- Manage projects and deliver training as needed.
- Assist with trade shows and service support as required.
- Travel 100%, including overnight and occasional weekend trips.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
