Job summary
JTEKT Machinery Americas is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites and provide expert repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting support. The role includes on-site and remote assistance, project management, and training delivery across the US Midwest and beyond.
The ideal candidate has a 4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years in machine tool maintenance and installation of machining centers, with familiarity with CNC
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering field.
- 5 years machine tool maintenance/technology experience including electrical and mechanical systems.
- 5 years installation/maintenance of machining centers including CNC geometry checks and adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Install CNC machine tool systems and accessories at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or application issues.
- Coordinate resolutions and suggest repairs or replacements for CNC tools.
- Provide on-site and remote support to customers, distributors, and colleagues.
- Manage projects and deliver training as needed.
- Travel 100% including overnight and occasional weekend trips.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
