Job summary

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to advance American manufacturing. The Controls Engineering team develops 0-1 automation for CNC machines, pushing capabilities across multiple factories in the US.

You will join a world-class team, collaborating with Applications, CAM, Software, and robotics to scale Machining. We seek a curious, self-motivated expert to help expand on-machine capabilities, with a focus on macros, CNC operation, software fundamentals, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Experience writing macros for CNC systems (Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain).
• Ability to run and set up CNC machines, including tool offsets and spindle probing.
• Strong software understanding: Python, data structures, version control (GitHub), testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on machining knowledge across mills, lathes, and various materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop a universal interface for CNC machines to streamline operations and interoperability.
• Use spindle probing to improve inspection and process control.
• Create an integrated CMM<>CNC feedback loop linking measurement to control.
• Develop systems that empower operators in advanced machine control.
• Support cross-functional teams by engineering processes that expand on-machine capabilities.
