Job summary

Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation Nursing is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our on-site nursing team in New York. You will promote resident hygiene, assist with meals, transfers, vital signs, and keep accurate flow sheets while delivering care with empathy and teamwork.

We offer a 1199 SEU benefits package, paid time off, a 401k plan, supplemental insurance, and sign-on bonuses of $2,000 for full-time staff and $1,000 for part-time staff after 90 days, with eligibility based on hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY CNA Certification.
• Prior skilled nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights promptly.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports observations to Nurse Manager.

• All newfulltime CNA hires in the nursing department will receive a sign on bonus of $2,000.00 (paid in quarterly installments after 90 days of full-time employment);
• All new part-time CNA hires in the nursing department will get a sign on bonus of $1,000.00 (paid in quarterly installments after 90 days of part-time employment – part workers must average at least 20 hours per week to qualify for this bonus);

Responsibilities:

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.

• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.

• Takes and records vital signs.

• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.

• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.

Requirements:

• NY CNA Certification

• Prior skilled nursing is a PLUS!
