Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Telemetry CNA to join the Mission Regional Medical Center team in Mission, TX. You’ll monitor patients with cardiac conditions and assist nurses in a high-acuity telemetry environment during 12-hour night shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA, BLS within 30 days, and knowledge of medical terminology, with 6 months’ acute care experience preferred. Excellent teamwork and patient monitoring are essential.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months’ experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation).
• Observe patients for changes in condition and report findings to the RN.
• Monitor cardiac monitors and report irregularities to nursing staff.
• Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing team.

Location : Mission Regional Medical Center – Mission, TX

We are seeking a Telemetry CNA , sometimes referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ). The Certified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit plays an important role in the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our Telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNA’s provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• M easure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation)
• O bserve patients for any changes in condition, such as increased discomfort, difficulty breathing, or changes in mental status, and report findings to the RN
• O bserve cardiac monitors and reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff
• E nsure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning
• A ct as a liaison between patients and the nursing team

Qualifications

• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
