Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Telemetry CNA for Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX. This per diem position supports cardiac monitoring and patient care in a telemetry unit, reporting to the nursing staff as needed.

The role requires a CNA certificate and BLS within 30 days, with knowledge of medical terminology and prior acute care experience preferred. Per diem schedule and day shifts available, with a benefits-included environment at Prime Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification upon hire.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ prior experience in acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document vital signs and patient status.
• Observe patients for changes in condition and report to RN.
• Monitor cardiac monitors and report irregularities to nursing staff.
• Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are correctly placed and functioning.
• Serve as liaison between patients and nursing team.

Location: Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX

We are seeking aTelemetryCNA,sometimes referred to as aCertified Nursing Assistant(CNA).TheCertified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit playsan important rolein the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our Telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNA’s provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring.This position is on a per diem basis, meaningPD/PRNas needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Measure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation)
• Observe patients for any changes in condition, such as increased discomfort, difficulty breathing, or changes in mental status, and report findings to the RN
• Observe cardiac monitors and reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff
• Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning
• Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing team

Qualifications

1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.

2. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

4. Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
