Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in our not-for-profit long-term care facility. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, support the care team under an RN, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

This full-time day shift offers 40 hours weekly, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and benefits including a 401(k) with employer match and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA certification with State Board or in process within 4 months.
• 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• Possibly certified/registered with UAP Registry where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Record and report vital signs and changes to RN.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and nutrition support.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Document resident care and participate in care planning and infection control.
