Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the De Smet, SD facility. The NA will provide resident-centered care under RN supervision, including daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health support, while following infection control and PPE procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, range-of-motion exercises, meals, and documenting resident interactions. The role requires CNA certification and adherence to continuing education and state requirements.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or CNA experience preferred.
• 12 hours of continuing education required annually; maintains required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Record vital signs and assist with transfers and mobility.
• Assist with meals, dining, and daily activities for residents.
