Job summary

Jeffersontown Rehabilitation is seeking a CNA to join our team as Scheduler. The Staff Scheduler assists with staff scheduling for the Nursing Department and coordinates an efficient schedule under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

The role requires an active CNA license and experience in scheduling or healthcare. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to notify staff of schedules, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with Nursing Administration.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license required.
• Experience in scheduling or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all nursing staff and prepare the weekly nursing schedule; notify staff of their schedules and changes.
• Receive incoming calls and direct them appropriately to address nursing scheduling issues. Notify Nursing Administration of staffing shortages, scheduling conflicts, or coverage concerns.
• Obtain approval from the Director of Nursing/Administrator before scheduling overtime or utilizing nursing registry personnel.
• Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes such as illness, vacation, PTO, and other staffing needs.
• Collaborate daily with Nursing Administration to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing levels.
• Assist the nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
• Assist the payroll manager with weekly payroll processing and verification of nursing hours.
