Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Evansville, IN seeks a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join our rehabilitation and wellness team. You will work with therapy staff to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs, and receive restorative training on site.

No prior restorative experience is required; CNA certification is required. You will assist in restorative care with programs like ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing and splint care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification in state of practice
• Specialty fitness certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite.
• Help in restorative care with programs like ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care

Job Type: PRN Schedule: Flexible hours- Only Day Shifts

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: Evansville, IN 47713

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Restorative aides day to day responsibilities will be working with a dedicated restorative caseload in/with the following programs:
• Ambulation
• transfer training
• bed mobility
• active/passive range of motion
• dressing/grooming
• splint/prosthesis care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
