Job summary

Pine Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center, part of Corewell Health, is seeking a certified nursing assistant to join our day-shift nursing team in Stevensville, MI. You will provide direct patient care under the Unit Manager and RN guidance, helping residents with dressing, bathing, feeding and mobility according to individualized care plans.

You will document care, maintain a clean environment, and participate in unit quality activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Michigan approved CNA training required.
• CNA license/CRT required upon hire in specified facilities.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse.
• Assist with daily resident/patient activities: dressing, bathing, transporting, feeding.
• Document care provided according to guidelines.
• Maintain patient environment/equipment and report malfunctions.
• Complete required CNA educational hours.
• Participate in unit quality monitoring activities as directed.

About Pine Ridge

The facility sits on Hansen Care Park's beautiful, wooded property with private and semi-private rooms, spacious shower and restroom facilities, beauty salon and barber shop services, walking paths, state of the art rehabilitation areas for those who need physical, occupational or speech therapy and cozy places to relax throughout the facility.

We provide care for individuals who may require a variety of medical services including Short-term Rehabilitation, Long-term Care 24 Hour Skilled Nursing, Hospice and Respite Care, Restorative Care and Certified Wound Care.

Job Summary

As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans, unit routines, and hospital policies.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Essential Functions

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
• Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
• Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
• Maintains patients' environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
• Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

Qualifications
