Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents in a team-oriented environment. You will assist with activities of daily living, respond to call bells, and support residents' comfort and dignity.

You will work under nursing leadership and document care in clinical records to support ongoing care plans. You will participate in care/service plans, assist with meals, build relationships with residents and families, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in MO/IL/PA; enrollment or eligibility in PA registry.
• Strong communication with residents and families.
• Prior direct resident care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort; provides physical care with activities of daily living according to scope of practice; answers resident’s call lights and requests; reports observations of residents to the nurse
• Handles residents’ personal care needs and support in a timely manner; helps maintain residents’ dignity by letting them do as much for themselves as possible
• Observes residents closely to identify changing needs and conditions and reports information to the nurse
• Actively participates in residents’ care/service plans for the purpose of improving residents’ lives
• Assists residents during mealtimes and feeds residents who need full assistance
• Creates and maintains meaningful relationships with residents and their families; provides support with compassion and professionalism
• Supports residents’ involvement in decision making regarding their own daily activities; Assists residents with activities
• Assists with residents’ therapies and treatments under the direction of licensed staff
• Documents care provided in clinical records
• Maintains a clean and safe environment
