Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on a part-time basis. You will assist with basic patient care, telemetry, and coordination with RNs, following licensed professional guidance.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Colorado required.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers required.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care and respond to patient needs.
• Report and record patient findings in a timely manner.
• May monitor telemetry and collaborate with RNs and the care team.
• Transport medications to the RN as required on the unit.
• Assist as health unit coordinator: phones, orders, unit records.
• Implement plan of care as delegated and follow regulatory standards.
• Maintain safety and respond to emergencies per policy.
