Job summary

Benchmark at Hamden is hiring a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time roles on the 1st shift (7a–3p) and 2nd shift (3p–11p). The schedule typically covers Sunday and Monday or Friday and Saturday, offering meaningful care in a warm, home-like environment.

As a CNA you will assist residents with daily living activities, document care and report changes to staff, engage residents in meaningful activities, provide emotional support, and deliver attentive service to ensure

Qualifications

• Valid CNA license is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or assisted living is preferred but not required.
• Experience with residents with dementia is desired.

Benchmark at Hamden is hiring Part Time CNA for 1st Shift, 7a-3p, & 2nd Shift, 3p-11p. Schedule is Sunday & Monday or Friday & Saturday.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid CNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
