Job summary

HomeWell Care Services is hiring CNAs and HHAs to provide in-home care to clients in Volusia, Flagler, and St Johns counties. Full-time, part-time, and PRN hours available. The role requires compassionate interactions, patient engagement, and adherence to care plans under supervision of a nurse.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and companionship. Valid CNA or HHA certification and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA or HHA certification required.
• Experience with dementia, wound care, and ADLs preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare professional.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up.

• Experience with Dementia
• Experience with ADL's and IADL's
• Experience with limited non weight bearing patients.
• Experience working with patients that has wound management
• Experience working with Super pubic catheters
• Experience with lift to pivot stands and transfers are needed
• RELIABLE and DEPENDABILITY IS A MUST!!!
• 2 YEARS MIN EXP WITH AS A CAREGIVER (preferred)

• Experience in providing patient care preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare practices.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely and comfortably.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients in need of assistance.
