Job summary

The Alden Network in Chicago, IL is seeking an Activity Aide to support daily activity calendar requirements under the direction of the Activity Director. This role focuses on enhancing residents' quality of life by addressing psychosocial, medical, and activity needs.

You will implement a person-centered activity plan, follow facility policies, and collaborate with staff to ensure timely and engaging activities for residents, families, and the community.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience or relevant volunteer/personal experience.
• Knowledge of Federal and State activity regulations or ability to interpret them.
• Must read and write English.
• Bi-lingual abilities may be preferred at some facilities.
• Must have a valid Illinois driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to Activity Director to monitor facility goals.
• Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program.
• Follow all Activity Policies, Procedures, and regulations.
• Develop person-centered activity plans based on resident backgrounds.
• Schedule daily activities reflecting resident rights and choices.
• Document all required assessments and activity records.
• Coordinate community involvement and resident outings.
• Maintain activity calendars and equipment; report needs.
