Job summary

Patient First in Maryland is seeking a compassionate CNA to support clinical teams. You will locate patients, take vital signs, triage, and prepare them for exams alongside physicians and nurses. Proficiency with the EMR system and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

You will assist with labs, X-rays, and supplies, maintain clean, stocked treatment areas, and participate in staff meetings. CPR training and flexibility to work at multiple centers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Locating patients, obtaining accurate vital signs, triaging patients, and preparing patients for physicals and treatments.
• Understanding and using the electronic medical record system.
• Ordering lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notifying the Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and communicating symptoms or lab/x-ray needs.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with patient care.
• Handling Physician and Nurse requests promptly and respectfully.
• Performing lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilizing and setting up instruments.
• Receiving, restocking supplies, and maintaining treatment rooms.
