Job summary

Patient First in Maryland is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with patient care, vital signs, and basic clinical duties. The role includes phlebotomy, basic lab tasks, and preparation of patients for physician exams in a busy center.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterilized equipment, updating the electronic medical record, and supporting Nursing and Physician staff. Must be at least 18, willing to work flexible shifts, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum typing experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs by visual and audible measures.
• Triaging patients and preparing for exams and treatments by physicians and nurses.
• Use electronic medical record system to document patient information.
• Order lab work, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures and handle lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilize and set up instruments; restock treatment rooms as needed.
• Report to Charge Nurse before leaving at end of shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and assist in equipment maintenance.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in center operations.
