Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Maryland clinics. You will locate patients, take vitals, triage, and help prepare patients for medical exams and treatments under physician and nurse supervision.

Essential responsibilities include using the EMR system, ordering labs when directed, assisting with care, and maintaining a clean, organized treatment area. Must meet CNA credentialing in Maryland and be willing to work at any center.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients, obtain vital signs, triage, assess condition, and prepare patients for exams and treatment.
• Understand and use the EMR system.
• Order labs, x-ray, and medical supplies.
• Notify Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and relay questions.
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with patient care and treatment.
• Handle physician and nurse requests promptly and respectfully.
• Perform lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilize and set up instruments.
• Restock treatment rooms and manage supplies.
