Job summary

Patient First seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team in Annapolis, MD. The role includes patient triage, vital sign collection, and assisting physicians and nurses with care, while maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to OSHA guidelines.

Requirements include a Maryland CNA certification, high school diploma, and at least one year of clinical experience. Lifting up to 50 pounds and CPR training are needed; the center requires flexibility to cover shifts

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing or center emergencies.
• Attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain vital signs; triage and prepare patients for exams.
• Use electronic medical record system.
• Order lab, x-ray, and supplies as directed.
• Notify Nurse/Physician when patient ready for exam and relay questions.
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with patient care and treatment.
• Handle requests from physicians and nurses promptly.
• Perform lab duties as assigned.
• Sterilize and set up instruments.
• Restock treatment rooms and store supplies.
• Report to Charge Nurse at end of shift.
• Follow guidelines from Charge Nurse and supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness per OSHA guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Operate and maintain medical and office equipment.
