Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, support the care plan, and collaborate with the nursing team under RN supervision.

The role covers night and evening shifts with every other weekend and holiday, and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Must have CNA certification and meet state requirements; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification required within four months of start or active enrollment in a training program.
• Minimum age 16 and prior clinical experience in long-term care preferred.
• Continuing education and annual competency testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Obtain and record vital signs and monitor health status.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility using proper technique.
• Support meals, dining, hydration, and nutritional needs.
• Document interactions and care outcomes; communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support to keep living areas clean.
