Job summary

MercyOne Health System is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide holistic patient care in a 0.9 FTE daytime schedule (6:00am–6:30pm). You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and support transport and meals in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates must have a 75-hour CNA certification, active Iowa registry, and BLS within 30 days of hire; 16+ years old with compliance to labor laws. Competitive benefits offered within MercyOne Health System.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant certification and active Iowa registry required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be current.
• Demonstrated ability to provide holistic patient care and communicate with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and patient care.
• Record and report vital signs, intake/output, weight, and clinical changes.
• Assist in mealtime activities and transport patients as needed.
