Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville Medical Center is hiring a Nurse Assistant for a full-time 36-hour week. The NA works under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide daily living assistance and compassionate care.

Day shift runs 6:00am–6:30pm with every third weekend and holiday rotations. Applicants must meet Iowa CNA/EMT requirements or registries, have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and complete BLS within 30 days of hire, with ongoing recertification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old; child labor laws apply.
• Must meet at least one of: active Iowa registry OR CNA course proof OR EMT certification OR military medical occupation training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, compassionate patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Support patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs consistent with care standards.
• Work under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
