Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join our care teams on the evening shift. This full-time position covers 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) with weekend and holiday rotations.

The NA will provide holistic, compassionate patient care and assist with daily living activities. Candidates must meet one or more criteria (Iowa registry, CNA course, EMT, or military medical specialty) and complete required trainings (BLS within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must meet at least one of the listed requirements: Iowa registry active, 75-hour CNA course, EMT certification, or military medical specialty.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• BLS certification due within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, compassionate patient care by assisting with activities of daily living.
• Support physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in line with MercyOne policies.
• Adhere to 0.9 FTE full-time schedule with evening shift and weekend/holiday rotation.
