Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. You will assist with activities of daily living and support the care team to ensure safety and comfort for every patient.

Responsibilities include measuring vitals, assisting with meals, transporting supplies, and documenting observations in accordance with unit standards. The role requires BLS within 30 days and adherence to the Iowa CNA registry rules.

Qualifications

• Certification in a 75-hour CNA program and active Iowa registry.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical needs of patients and activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs, intake/outtake, and report changes to supervision.
• Deliver meals, assist with feeding, and maintain a safe environment.
• Transport patients and obtain medications or records as needed.
• Communicate care effectively in verbal and written forms.
