Job summary

Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Illinois (OSCI) seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patients and our clinical team during eye procedures. You will help patients feel comfortable before and after surgery while helping the center run smoothly.

Responsibilities include assisting nurses, documenting vital signs, and maintaining infection control and patient privacy. Illinois CNA certification and BLS are required or obtainable before start.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois CNA certification.
• Current BLS certification, or the ability to obtain it before starting.
• A caring, professional approach to working with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help them prepare for their procedures.
• Assist nurses with patient care before and after surgery, within your training and scope of practice.
• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Help patients with mobility, positioning, dressing, and discharge preparation.
• Prepare patient care areas, restock supplies, and clean equipment according to center procedures.
• Promptly communicate patient needs or changes to the nursing team.
• Follow infection prevention, patient privacy, and safety practices.
