Job summary

Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Illinois (OSCI) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant to support patients and our clinical team.

In this role, you will help patients feel comfortable before and after eye procedures while helping the surgery center run smoothly.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required (or ability to obtain before starting).
• Experience in a clinical setting and team-based care is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and patient-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Support mobility, positioning, dressing, and discharge preparation.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome patients and help them prepare for their procedures.
• Assist nurses with patient care before and after surgery, within your training and scope of practice.
• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Help patients with mobility, positioning, dressing, and discharge preparation.
• Prepare patient care areas, restock supplies, and clean equipment according to center procedures.
• Promptly communicate patient needs or changes to the nursing team.
• Follow infection prevention, patient privacy, and safety practices.

What You’ll Bring

• Current BLS certification, or the ability to obtain it before starting.
• A caring, professional approach to working with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a clinical team.

Experience in an ambulatory surgery center, ophthalmology, or outpatient care is a plus.
