Job summary

Ophthalmology Surgery Center of Illinois seeks a Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. You will care for patients before, during, and after procedures, educate families, and support recovery with compassionate care.

Expect a positive work-life balance with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Current Illinois RN license and BLS/PALS required; ACLS within one year is expected. Compensation includes benefits and certification-supported growth.

Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
Minimum of one year of related work experience in a surgical/operating room environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to individuals in pre-surgical, operative and recovery periods; collaborate with medical staff and other departments daily to coordinate patient care.
Ensure quality of care by adhering to compliance standards and nursing act regulations.
Provide emotional support to patients, families and friends.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by following procedures and regulations; request assistance as needed.
Adhere to infection-control policies and handle medications and controlled substances appropriately.
