Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is hiring an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for Med Surg/Ortho to support the care continuum in a faith-based, community-focused hospital.

The role requires Maryland CNA certification and BLS, with 36 hours per week across 3 shifts (day shift). Responsibilities include vital signs, ADL support, and following RN care plans in a non-exempt environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA License required and on Maryland Registry.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans established by RN.
• Participate in education programs and professional initiatives.
• Ensure safety and report equipment issues.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper storage of supplies.
