Job summary

Alden Poplar Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for AM (7AM–3PM) and PM (3PM–7PM) shifts in Barrington Township, IL. You will provide residents with daily nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies, under the direction of the nursing leadership.

The role requires completion of a nursing arts program, a valid CPR certificate, and the ability to read, write and speak English.

Qualifications

• Nursing arts course diploma or certificate with competency evaluation.
• Be at least 16 years old with good character and trustworthy.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Must read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care according to standards and facility policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as directed by staff.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in resident/family communications.
• Maintain warmth and positive environment in the department.
• Record intake/output and monitor patient conditions as directed.
• Assist with transfers, bed making, and routine housekeeping duties as needed.
