Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate setting. You will work with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on residents as directors of their own care, and support activities of daily living and mealtimes.

The role emphasizes clear communication with residents and families, documentation, and collaboration to maintain dignity and a person-centered care approach. Weekend/shift flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Illinois (MO/PA acceptance noted).
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Direct resident care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort and provides ADL care per scope of practice.
• Answers call lights and reports observations to the nurse promptly.
• Supports residents’ personal care needs while promoting dignity and independence.
• Observes residents to identify changes and communicates with the nurse.
• Participates in care/service planning to improve residents’ lives.
• Assists with mealtimes and feeds residents needing full assistance.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Aids residents in daily activities and supports decision-making.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff guidance.
• Documents care provided in clinical records.
