Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services in Kentucky is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive care to residents under the guidance of licensed staff. You will assist with ADLs, attend to call lights, and help maintain residents' comfort and dignity.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will document care, support mealtime assistance, participate in care plans, and help residents engage in daily activities while maintaining safety and a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in applicable states (MO/IL/PA or equivalent)
• Desire to be part of a person-centered care team
• Ability to communicate with residents clearly and compassionately
• Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort; provides physical care with activities of daily living according to scope of practice; answers resident’s call lights and requests; reports observations to the nurse
• Assists residents with personal care needs and supports their independence
• Observes residents to identify changing needs and reports information to the nurse
• Participates in residents’ care/service plans to improve their lives
• Assists residents during mealtimes and feeds those needing full assistance
• Creates meaningful relationships with residents and their families; provides compassionate, professional support
• Supports residents’ involvement in decisions about daily activities; assists with activities
• Assists with residents’ therapies and treatments under licensed staff direction
• Documents care provided in clinical records
• Maintains a clean and safe environment
