Job summary

Rivervalleyhcw is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. Responsibilities include resident rounds, personal care, feeding assistance, mobility support, and reporting changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nurses.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a CNA program or licensed, with excellent English communication, patience, and the ability to work respectfully with residents, families, and staff in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CNA program or licensed as a CNA.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure.
• Desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Able to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Willing to work with others and maintain harmony.
• Patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents.
• In good health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled and elderly residents in varying moods.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care per policies and under supervision.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Assist with dressing, meals, and feeding as needed.
• Prepare residents for activities and transport as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and comfort, including linens and clothing.
• Report concerns to Charge Nurse and document as directed.
