Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Clinton, TN, seeks a dedicated nursing assistant to provide routine resident care in accordance with established policies and directions from nursing leadership. You will perform rounds, verify IDs, and assist with daily tasks while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Applicants should be CNAs or nursing students with at least 6 months of CNA experience, strong English skills, and a genuine desire to serve the ill and elderly.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or hold a CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months of CNA experience or clinical experience during certification.
• Desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Must work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must be patient, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to deliver quality care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Prepare beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled and within reach.
• Other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
