Job summary

PACS is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with individualized care plans and supervision. You will identify residents, document measurements, assist with daily living activities, and maintain a warm, safe environment on the unit.

Responsibilities include careful charting, reporting changes to the Nurse Supervisor, protecting patient privacy, and collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services as per resident care plans and supervisor directions.
• Identify residents before administering treatments, using wristbands or photo IDs.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
• Report changes in a resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any disclosures.
• Ensure room readiness and assist with transfers, packing, and mobility as required.
• Observe for pressure areas, skin breakdowns, and report injuries or concerns.
