Harmony Senior Services in Charleston, WV is hiring a CN A/Direct Care Giver to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities. You will encourage independence and participate in activities to enrich daily life.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, reporting incidents, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting residents during meals and activities. A valid CNA license and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days are required.

Formación

• Must possess a current CNA license in the state where the community is located and remain in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow the instructions of the supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and coworkers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Must wear the designated uniform during working hours, including a name badge, and maintain a welcoming, positive attitude.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents and completes appropriate documentation.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Responds promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding the release of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from the dining room and activities.
• Checks on residents and ensures attendance at meals and activities.
• Communicates status and appointments to staff.
• Reports changes and interventions in logs and records.
• Notifies family members or responsible parties as directed.
