Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for residents under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. You will assist with activities of daily living, help maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and support licensed staff in delivering individualized care in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing or completion of a state-approved CNA program.
Eligible for state nurse aide registry and able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, continence care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
Record and monitor vital signs, weight, and meal intake as directed.
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs, reporting changes to licensed staff.
Support residents' independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate documentation according to facility procedures.
Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions at all times.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
