Ciena Healthcare is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants for Regency Heights-Detroit to care for residents under supervision of licensed nurses. The role supports ADLs, safety, and comfort, in a Michigan facility.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or graduate of a state approved CNA training program and passed a state competency exam within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond to call lights and report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation according to facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Make routine rounds on assigned residents every two hours.
• Provide skin care and observe residents’ skin, reporting changes to licensed nurse.
• Contribute to residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA) and the plan of care.
