Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Deckerville, MI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver direct resident care under supervision of licensed staff. This on-site role requires compassionate care for residents, including ADLs, vital signs, mobility assistance, and documentation per facility policies.

Qualified applicants will be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in good standing, with a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

Meets all state and federal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care, oral hygiene, and feeding.
Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake/output.
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
Respond promptly to call lights and changes in condition; report observations.
Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
Make routine rounds on each assigned resident every two hours.
Assists residents in use of assistive devices for transferring, walking, and mobility.
Maintain ROM and proper turning/positioning in bed and chair.
Assists with bowel and bladder retraining.
Instruct residents on care/prosthetic devices; support dementia care with patient-centered approaches.
